A Field Trip

Students’ main job is learning in the classroom. Teachers help them acquire a lot of knowledge. But, there are a lot of things for them to learn not only in class but also from outside the class. Learning from field trip is equally important for them as learning in classrooms. Acquiring knowledge through reading and classes is not useful. Both practice and classroom learning help them to cope with their future life. In this sense a field trip is a good opportunity for them. Besides many things they can learn through the field trip, before the trip they can elevate their motivation by preparing what they expect to learn on the trip. They can understand that the field trip is not frolic. Moreover, when they take the trip in a group they can realize how important it is to be responsible as a member, and perceive they are to grow as a member of the society. In short, the field trip not only helps them extend their understanding of the knowledge through reading and classes but learns to be a responsible citizen in the future. Thus, the merit of the field trip that students can experience what they can not in the classroom easily should not be under estimated.

A Field Trip

     Students’ main job is studying in the classroom. They gain a lot of knowledge in class. But, there are a lot of things for them to learn not only in class but also from outside the class. Experiences on a field trip are equally important for students as learning in classrooms. Having only knowledge is not useful. Both experiences and the knowledge help students for their future life. So, a field trip is a good opportunity for them. They will be able to learn many things through the field trip. For example, to study before the field trip elevates students’ consciousness. They can understand that the field trip is not frolic. Moreover, they are rarely aware of their responsibility as a member of the society. Through a field trip, they can learn to act as a group. The merit of the field trip is that students can experience things they can not in the classroom.

     There occured tragedy in America five years ago. Two planes crashed into the buildings in New York. The buildings went up in flames and collapsed. Many people worked there and more than two thousand seven hundred people were killed.

   
     President Bush announced to people that the terrorism caused the affair. He appealed for the reprisal against the terrorism. The affair influenced national sentiment. Afterword, America started to attack on Afghanistan.

  
     Usama bin Ladin was concluded as ringleader of the terror. He is the leader of  al-Qaida which is an armed Sunni Islamist organization.  After the breakdown of Taliban, he had been missing. American agency reported that he was killed in the Kashmir earthquake.

       Podcasting is a new portable audio tool. Podcasting enables us to enjoy audio contents whenever we want to. The advantage of podcasting is that we can use this easily. If we do not have enough time to read a newspaper, we can be updated with the latest news as well by using podcasting. 

       Podcasting is also useful for us to study English and other foreign languages. We can put English into our head not from vision but from hearing. Moreover, we do not need to buy many language study CDs to practice hearing. Instead, all we have to do is downloading audio data that we want from the Internet. To practice hearing is getting more important than ever. For example, on the scene of the education, listening tests have been introduced into the University Testing Center Examination since last year. When students learn a listen to English, podcasting is a helpful tool for them.

        In short, podcasting offers new style of studying and we can spend time effectively with podcasting.

The Reason Why I Want To Be an English Teacher

                I am attracted to teaching profession. First of all, I believe that teachers can assist directly students’ development. Other jobs have similar roles in the society, but teaching is special because teachers have great influences on students. Of course, the primary job of teachers is to give students subject knowledge. However, the most important thing is to help students explore their potential. It is not too much to say that students’ future depends on teachers’ ability of how they can encourage and expand student’s potentials. Thus, teaching is an occupation with challenge

       One of the reasons I have been attracted to teaching profession is my experience of meeting wonderful teachers. One of then whom I respect most is an English teacher. He was known to be the best English teacher in my school. Although he did not take charge of my class, I asked him once to correct my English composition. He was very busy, but he corrected mistakes and what is more, he wrote comments to encourage me. Other teachers also encouraged me greatly, too. I desire to be a teacher like them in turn. I want to be a teacher who can support students not only in their study but various aspects of life and come up with teachers whom I respect step by step.
